ISSTD is looking for a small group of students and emerging professionals to serve as Conference Ambassadors. These individuals will assist staff in the following areas before and during the conference:
- Registration Desk
- CE/CME Sign-In
- Directional Assistance to Conference participants
- Friday Night Social Event
- Sunday Awards Luncheon
- Name Badge Assembly
- Totebag Stuffing and On-Site Set-up
- Exhibitor and Poster Set-up
Conference Ambassadors are required to provide at least six hours of volunteer service before or during the conference. In exchange for these volunteer hours, Ambassadors will be provided with a $100 refund of their 2019 Annual Conference Registration and free access to past conference/webinar recordings. The program is limited to ten students and emerging professional on a first come, first serve basis.
In addition to the hours provided on-site, all Ambassadors will be required to participate in a pre-conference orientation teleconference the week prior to the conference. The purpose of this session is to give all Ambassadors a chance to get to know each other, get familiar with the conference schedule, the layout of the facility, the areas of assistance and expectations for Ambassadors. This will also be a time to ask any questions you might have.
If you are interested in participating in the 2019 Ambassador Program, please email Mary Pat Hanlin, ISSTD Executive Director at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include which days you are planning to be at the conference so that we can work to assign you shifts during that time.
If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to reach out to us for assistance. We look forward to working with our 2019 Conference Ambassadors and thank you for helping us put on another great ISSTD Conference.
